I learned today that The Caribbean Writer has awarded me the First Lady Cecile de Jongh Literary Prize ($500) for my publication in Volume 28! The prize is given to an author “whose work best expresses the spirit of the Caribbean.”
I’m incredibly grateful to the editorial board for selecting me for this wonderful prize, and for everyone who helped make my nonfiction piece “Becoming a Man,” worthy of such an honor.
